Eating at The Place at the beach

As of September 2009 there is a completely new team in the kitchen headed up by Austin Gould, a classically trained chef who is passionate about working with the seasonal produce that surrounds the hotel.

Our menu’s are traditionally English inspired, using ingredients sourced from farmers, fisherman and artisan suppliers that live and work within 30 miles of the hotel. It’s an inspirational place to source produce, especially as the nights draw in – locally shot game, superb shellfish, rare breed meat and of course the best local apples and pears.

Our new Lunch Menu and Dinner Menu’s have just been launched and are a good example of this, nothing to fancy just honest well cooked food that are already enjoying positive feedback.

On Sundays we think Sunday lunch means only one thing – a Great Sunday Roast. Our new Sunday Lunch Menu features a great local roast cooked to perfection with crisp roast potatoes and the best fresh picked in season vegetables. It’s the perfect excuse to gather with friends and family and have a good old chin wag about the week gone by followed by a long walk on the beach. Keenly priced families are most welcome.
