Learn to Kite Surf with our 2 Day Escape - Click here for details

The Place at the Beach is the perfect base to enjoy the fastest growing extreme sport on the planet. Learner or expert,
Zen Buddhist or adrenaline junkie, as long as you are over 12 we have the facilities and people to make your time on
the water a truly pleasurable one.

With one of the best beaches to kite surf in the UK on our doorstep helping people get into this adrenaline sport is
something we are passionate about. Until you have flown a modern powered kite the level of power and control is
hard to believe until you fly one.

Whilst getting up on a board on the ocean might take a few days there are fortunately a number of very accessible
steps that everyone can take that are just as exhilarating and certainly not as wet! If you’ve ever sat on the beach
thinking this is something you would like to try then we are your perfect partners – but be warned it’s highly
addictive and there’s no turning back!

Power Kiting
£40 per person/2 hours

If you are interested but not 100% then book one of our ‘learn to power kite’ courses. We hit the beach for 3hrs of
learning the different power zones of these powerful kites. If you master this then the rest is a breeze!!

If you are new to the sport or just curious we highly recommend one of our power kiting taster courses. We hit the
beach for 3 hours where we’ll teach you the basic skills of how to fly one of these incredible kites. You’ll soon be
sliding along the sand and thinking about getting on the water or into a buggy.

No special equipment is needed, we’ll provide the kite and helmet, however you will need trainers or boots and a
tough pair of trainers. Minimum age is 12.

Kite Buggies
£45 per person/2 hours

If you thought power kiting was fun, kite buggies take it onto a whole new level and with our enormous beaches
we are one of the best places in the UK to learn this exhilarating sport. Once you’ve learned the basics of kite control,
picked up in your power kiting lesson, piloting one of our new buggies should be reasonably straight forward, assuming
you are able to co-ordinate both controlling your kite and steering your buggy at the same time! Once you’ve got the
hang of it the 3 hours will fly by and you’ll be thinking about your next fix.

No special equipment is needed, we’ll provide the kite and bar (Flexifoil) and of course buggy and helmet, however you
will need trainers or boots and a tough pair of trainers. Minimum age is 12.

Kite Surfing
2 days - £160 per person (weekend)/£140 (midweek)
3 days - £240 per person (weekend)/£200 (midweek)

The pinnacle of powered kiting and without doubt the most exhilarating. If you thought ski boarding was fun just wait
till you get on the water.

We have highly experienced BKSA qualified instructors to help everyone from the complete novice to someone who’s
already got the bug. Courses can be tailor made according to experience and we have perhaps the unique ability to offer
boat supported lessons that ensure that if there’s wind we can get you out flying your kite.

Once you have competed your basic power kiting course a 2 or ideally 3 day course should be enough to get you up.
We provide all the equipment, all you need to do is get ready for perhaps the most exciting journey of your life.
